A drawing I did of one side of a woven box in our living room.  I can't do this kind of thing endlessly, as I become excessively  bored with the repetition. I guess I'm just a Free-Form kind of person!

Yes, I know this problem well! This is why I rarely do 'finished drawings' and most often just 'sketch'. A sketch with watercolor is so fast that I rarely get bored before it's done! Patterns such as this, in my opinion, are best just hinted rather than copied exactly. But, I think that makes it a sketch rather than a drawing, so it depends on which you want to do!

It definitely does take time to do a complete drawing, especially with all the shading and the perspective. I agree with Raena, it depends on what you want to do.

Nicely done! Love the shading...and it surely defines the texture really well. =)

You did really well with the pattern, shading is very good. Thank you for the email and for visit my blog. And yes, I live in Ont, near the capital area.
